Ohio Lottery 8-bit at Bat

An incredibly fun proactive idea that we brought to the client. We created an entirely new game platform that allowed people to play (for free) and have a chance to win $100 just for scanning.

We did QR codes on tv before the Super Bowl made them popular. Take that, Coinbase.

Winner of some other awards too, but more importantly we basically created a video game. Nerd bucket list item checked.

The creative brilliance came from:

  • It feels like all the best ideas are the ones you take TO the client, not a job the client gives you.

  • I don’t think I can legally say what is going on in the back-end of this one, but the marriage of 4 different existing pieces was not an easy thing to do.

  • This was one of my opportunities to dive in and build the experience with the creative team. Creative Director, Art Director, Copywriter and Producer. The four horsemen of an amazing idea.

  • Navigating through the legal complexities of a government entity is not easy, but we managed to pull it off while keeping the experience clean for users.
